Match Reports - Round 6

Under 8 Gold

Rd 6 got off to a slow start against the Entrance before our Warriors rallied and put in some big defensive efforts.
The whole team played really well and have been focusing on getting our defence right and be able to hold teams out.
MOM Zaine had a blinder of a game, making tackle after tackle and proving to be impossible for the other team to get past. He had some great runs and scored 2 tries to cap off a great game.
Our Coaches award / most improved went to Ashton his week. He had some good carries and got more involved this week, with good line speed throughout the game.
Little legend of the week went to Kobi who scorched the opposition with his runs and crossed for a hat trick whilst also working just as hard in defence.
Our goal kicking has improved since the start of the season, with four of our kids converting this game.
Great effort again from all the kids.

Adding to our points both Sonny and Lincoln converted & couple of inspirational try’s were scored by Sonny and Reef who was also today’s well deserved match day player award. Well done Reef!

Under 14 Div 3

Tough contest today up against the competition leaders.
We went in with only 12 players again today and we competed hard but it wasn’t enough to overcome Gosford.
We continue to do things the hard way by dropping to much ball and and silly errors in the first half and think we can bring it home in the second. We went into half time 12 nil behind.
The second half we got on a better start and scored both our tries in this half, first to a great solo effort out of dummy half by Jacko, who scooted 20m to score.
The second came from another damaging run by Toby.
Coaches award went to Jett, who was in absolutely everything he could be.
Waterboy award again this week went to Alex for solid defence and running game at centre.
We will regroup this week and prepare for another tough contest against The Entrance in Round 7.
